In brief: International tourism to Argentina continues to drop
*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released its latest figures for international tourism, showing that 542,300 foreign visitors went to Argentina in June, down from 572,900 in May and 699,300 in April. The figure is also down 21% on June 2024. Of the total number of foreign visitors in June 2025, 318,800 were tourists (-4.3% year-on-year) and 223,600 were day-trippers (-36.8%). Brazilians accounted for 27.6% of total foreign visitors, followed by Uruguayans (20.3%), and Chileans (11.2%).
