*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has reported year-on-year increases in the country’s light vehicle production and exports in July, while domestic sales dropped slightly as compared to July 2024. Production was up 2.36% to 309,453 units in July, while exports were up 7.94% to 289,598 units. Meanwhile domestic sales dropped by 0.62% to 124,482. In monthly terms, production fell 14.29% from 361,047 in June and exports were down 12.64% from 331,517, but sales were up 7.25% from 116,062. In the first seven months of the year, production was up 0.72% year-on-year with 2.32m units produced. Both exports and sales were down however, with exports decreasing by 1.38% to 1.96m and sales by 0.31% to 833,826.
