Saint-Cyr took over from Fritz-Alphonse Jean to become the CPT’s fourth and, theoretically, final leader before it is due to hand over power on 7 February 2026 to Haiti’s first democratically elected president since Jovenel Moïse was voted into power in 2016, before his assassination in 2021.
