In brief: Peru announces investment projects for Andes
*Peru’s investment promotion agency (Proinversión) has announced plans to award 26 contracts totalling over US$5.6bn for public works benefitting communities in the Andes mountain range. The investment contracts, which will be public-private partnerships, include a US$172m wastewater treatment plant in Huancayo (Junín region) and a US$182m cable car at the Choquequirao archaeological site (Apurímac), among others.
