COLOMBIA: Outlook for ‘total peace’ remains troubled

Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro has widened the circle of armed groups and conspirators he believes may have been implicated in the assassination of Senator Miguel Uribe, who died of his wounds earlier this month following an assassination attempt in June. An army intelligence report suggests that while talking peace with the government, these groups have been growing and actively recruiting more fighters.
