Coffee exports up. On 26 August the Instituto Hondureño del Café (Ihcafe), the body in charge of promoting Honduran coffee, announced that Honduran coffee exports in the 2024-2025 season (from October 2024-August 2025) totalled US$2.09bn, up 80% on the previous season. This was mainly as a result of an increase in prices, however, with exports up just 2% in volume terms, to 5.94m quintals in the 2025-2024 season, from 5.84m quintals in the previous season. In value terms the cost of a quintal averaged US$352.65 in the 2024-2025 season, up from US$199.51 in the previous season - a 77% increase.
