MEXICO: US cracks down on Cártel de Sinaloa

The US Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs announced a reward offer on 16 September of up to US$5m for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Juan José Ponce Félix, also known as ‘El Ruso’, who it said was an alleged leader of the Cártel de Sinaloa and wanted for violating US narcotics laws.
