US President Donald Trump announced on 15 September that the US had carried out a second military strike on an alleged Venezuelan drug trafficking boat, killing three “terrorists”. This followed a strike on 2 September that killed nine alleged members of the Venezuelan organised crime group Tren de Aragua.
