VENEZUELA: Trump sends in the big guns
The world’s largest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R Ford, arrived in the Caribbean on 11 November. It carries a crew of 4,000 and dozens of aircraft which Washington says will be used for counter-narcotics operations, but which the Venezuelan government claims could be used for an invasion to deliver regime change in Caracas.
