URUGUAY: Government expands trade ties

Uruguay was accepted this week as a member of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), which comprises Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam. President Yamandú Orsi said it was important to “open all possible doors” in a world where many are closing.
