BOLIVIA: Paz under pressure from vice president

Since winning the 19 October election, Bolivia’s new President Rodrigo Paz has had a very public falling out with Vice President Edmand Lara, whose viral tirades against corruption on social media played a significant role in Paz’s victory. Given Lara’s popularity with the public, Paz’s poor relationship with his vice president could have political repercussions.
