*Chile’s central bank (BCCh) has released the latest figures for its economic activity index (Imacec), which showed a 1.2% year-on-year rise in November and a 0.6% decrease as compared to the previous month. This compares to an annual increase in the Imacec of 2.2%
in October, when economic activity was up 0.7% in monthly terms. In November, activity in the services sector was up 1.9% in yearly terms but fell by 0.6% in monthly terms, while trade was up 5.5% year-on-year and 0.3% in monthly terms. Manufacturing fell by 1.3% in yearly terms, mainly driven by decreased mining production, and was down by 0.7% in monthly terms.
