*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has published the latest industrial production index, showing a 0.6% monthly drop in November in seasonally adjusted terms. In year-on-year terms, industrial production in November was down by 8.7%. Accumulated industrial production over the first 11 months of 2025 was up 2.0% on the same period in 2024. All nine production categories registered yearly declines in activity, with the steepest year-on-year drops in textiles, clothing, leather, and shoes (-22.7%), cars and other vehicles (-20.7%), and metal products, machinery, and equipment (-18.2%). Indec also published its index of construction activity yesterday, showing a 4.1% monthly decline in November in seasonally adjusted terms. In year-on-year terms, construction was down by 4.7% while construction activity was up by 6.6% between January and November 2025. Of the 13 categories measured, five registered yearly increases, with the greatest in bathroom ceramics (+33.2%). The remaining eight registered yearly declines with the greatest drop in hollow bricks (-19.3%).
