BRAZIL | Services sector declines in monthly terms. The national statistics institute (Ibge) released new figures on 13 January which showed that the volume of services provided in November 2025 decreased by 0.1% compared to October. Meanwhile, in year-on-year terms, the total services volume was up 2.5% compared to November 2024, while the accumulated services volume in the 12 months until November 2025 was up 2.7% on the preceding 12-month period. Of the five categories of services measured by the Ibge, two registered monthly drops in volume – transport and postal services (-1.4%) and information and communications services (-0.7%).
