In brief: Annual inflation falls in Paraguay

*Paraguay’s central bank (BCP) has published its latest consumer price index, putting monthly inflation in January at 0.6%, up from -0.3% in December, while annual inflation came in at 2.7%, down from 3.1% in December. The subcategories which saw the steepest monthly price rises were fresh vegetables and tubers (+28.3%), followed by contract catering (+4.3%), and men’s hairdressing services (+3.3%).
