*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has announced that the country received 47.79m international tourists in 2025, marking a 6.1% annual increase. Revenue from international tourism also rose by 4.9% to US$31.72bn. Overall visitor numbers, comprising international tourists and day-trippers, were up 13.6% year-on-year at 98.20m. In December 2025 alone, 10.13m international tourists arrived in Mexico, up 12.3% from the same month in 2024, according to Inegi.
