HONDURAS: Asfura holds talks with IMF

Honduras’ new conservative Partido Nacional (PN) administration led by President Nasry Asfura has held its first talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which sent a fact-finding mission to Tegucigalpa from 16-20 February to meet the new authorities. This comes as the new government is pledging to cut public spending and shrink the state to make it more efficient [WR-26-04].
