In brief: Mexico’s private sector raises growth and inflation forecasts

*Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) has published its monthly survey of private sector economists, which showed an increase in growth and inflation forecasts for 2026. The median GDP growth forecast for 2026 was 1.50%, up from 1.30% in the previous month’s survey. The median GDP forecast for 2027 was unchanged at 1.80%. Regarding inflation, the median forecast for 2026 was 4.00%, up from a forecast of 3.95% the previous month. The median inflation forecast for 2027 was also saw a slight rise from 3.73% to 3.75%.
