Nemesio ‘El Mencho’ Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, the late leader of the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), Mexico’s most powerful drug cartel, was buried on 2 March. There was a huge security presence at the funeral in the western state of Jalisco, the CJNG’s stronghold.
