*Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released its latest index of labour productivity, showing this increased by 0.5% in the fourth quarter of 2025 as compared to the previous quarter. In yearly terms, the index was up by 0.9%. In quarterly terms, labour productivity in the secondary (manufacturing) sector was up 1.0% and, in the tertiary (services) sector, by 0.4%, while productivity in the primary (agriculture) sector was down by 1.1%. Year-on-year, productivity in the primary sector was up by 8.4% and increased by 1.0% in the tertiary sector. Productivity in the secondary sector was down by 0.3% as compared to Q4 2024.
