On 9 March Senator Alessandro Vieira, of the big tent party Movimento Democrático Brasileiro (MDB), announced that 35 of Brazil's 81 senators have signed his motion to launch a congressional inquiry (CPI) into the alleged links between justices on the supreme court (STF) and the controversial bank Banco Master.
