In brief: Brazil’s coffee exports down

*Brazil’s national council of coffee exporters (Cecafé) has released the monthly export figures for February, showing a total of 2.62m sacks of coffee (one sack = 60kg) were exported. This is down from the 2.79m sacks exported in January and from 3.43m sacks in February 2025. Arabica coffee exports totalled 2.07m sacks in February this year, down from 2.36m sacks the previous month and from 2.91m sacks in the same month last year. Meanwhile, robusta exports totalled 226,221 sacks, up from 182,225 sacks in January but down from 230,785 sacks in February last year. Brazil’s top coffee export destination in February 2026 was Germany, exporting a total of 394,619 sacks, followed by Italy, with 283,018 sacks, and the US, with 270,157 sacks. Coffee exports to Germany and the US registered year-on-year decreases of 23.7% and 44.5% respectively, while exports to Italy were up 5.8% compared to February 2025.
