MEXICO: US relations expert tapped as new foreign minister
On 1 April Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that Roberto Velasco Álvarez, the deputy minister for North America at the foreign ministry (SRE), would take over as foreign minister following the resignation of Juan Ramón de la Fuente for health reasons.
