*Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has released new figures showing that its order backlog in the first quarter of this year registered a total value of US$32.1bn, up 22% compared to Q1 last year and up 2% compared to Q4 2025. According to a company press release, this value is a record figure for the quarter. Commercial aircraft registered an order backlog of US$15.0bn, up 50% year-on-year and 3% in quarterly terms. The company’s statement highlighted a notable order of its E195-E2 commercial plane by Finnish airline Finnair, which placed an order of 46 units in Q1. Meanwhile, orders for executive jets totalled US$7.6bn, which did not represent a significant year-on-year or quarterly variation, and orders for services and support totalled US$5.1bn, up 11% year-on-year. Military aircraft orders totalled US$4.4bn in Q1 this year, up 5% in year-on-year terms but down 4% compared to Q4 2025.
