In brief: El Salvador’s trade deficit rises

*El Salvador’s central bank (BCR) has released new figures showing that the country’s exports in March totalled US$582.61m, up from US$521.40m in February, and US$559.40m in January. Meanwhile imports to the country totalled US$1.72bn in March, up from US$1.36bn registered in February and January alike. The trade deficit in March was US$1.13bn, up from US$836.38m in February, and US$799.23m in January.
