*Brazil’s federal oil and gas regulator (ANP) has released the national production figures for March for oil and natural gas, showing a total of 5.53m barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd). According to an ANP press release, this latest result marks a record monthly production figure. Oil production in March stood at 4.25m barrels of oil per day (bpd), up 4.6% compared to February and up 17.3% compared to March 2025. Natural gas production totalled 204.11m cubic metres per day (m
3/d), which is up 3.3% on the previous month and up 23.3% on the same month last year. In March, the Búzios field, in the Santos Basin, was the largest oil producer, registering 886,430 bpd. The field with the highest natural gas production was the Mero field, also in the Santos Basin, with 42.06m m³/d. The processing unit that registered the highest oil production was the Almirante Tamandaré floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel, in the Búzios field, with 186,088 bpd in March. Meanwhile, the Guanabara FPSO, located in Mero, produced the most natural gas, registering 12.08m m³/d.
