Over the last decade Argentina has become a major player in the lithium sector. This is largely due to the immense salt flats in the country’s northwest which serve as mining hubs. There are production centres at Fénix, Olaroz, Cauchari-Olaroz, Centenario-Ratones, and Mariana. In contrast to some other lithium-mining jurisdictions, Argentina has been able to build a substantial pipeline of diverse projects at different stages of development.
