Mexico’s former attorney general Alejandro Gertz Manero (2019-2025) has submitted a declaration of assets to the ministry of anticorruption and good governance. A close ally of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador (2018-2024), Gertz, who had previously avoided making a public declaration of wealth, was obliged to declare his assets upon joining the foreign ministry (SRE) in his new role as Mexico’s ambassador to the UK.
