*Venezuela’s President Delcy Rodríguez has announced that over 240 homes have been given to people left homeless by the 24 June twin earthquakes. Rodríguez shared a video on social media which she said showed apartments being awarded in Fuerte Tiuna – a military complex in the capital Caracas. Rodríguez said yesterday that between July and December her government is aiming to deliver 4,000 homes per month to earthquake victims. National assembly president Jorge Rodríguez shared figures on social media yesterday showing that the death toll from the earthquakes now stands at 5,278, with a further 17,907 people left homeless.
