BOLIVIA: New arrest warrant for Morales unlikely to be enforced

Bolivia’s interior minister, Marco Antonio Oviedo, said on 3 August that arresting former president Evo Morales (2006-2019) is a “top priority” for President Rodrigo Paz’s government. Oviedo’s comments came after prosecutors issued another arrest warrant for Morales on 29 July for six crimes allegedly committed during the protests that swept the country in May and June [WR-26-25].
