After yet another deeply polarised election campaign in Peru, President Keiko Fujimori appears to be exceeding expectations with her conciliatory approach since taking office on 28 July. Fujimori enjoys an approval rating of 60% in a nationwide survey published by the national pollster Datum for the daily El Comercio on 9 August.
