In brief: Argentina’s Milei meets with major tech companies
*Argentina’s presidential office has announced that President Javier Milei has met with executives from US electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla and Singapore-headquartered data centre company DayOne Data. Milei met with Tesla executives together with his sister and secretary general of the presidency, Karina Milei, and cabinet chief, Diego Santilli. The Tesla delegation was led by its global senior director of trade and markets, David Feinstein. At the meeting with DayOne Data, which the presidential office described as “a leading company in the development and operation of digital infrastructure for artificial intelligence and cloud computing services”, Milei was accompanied by his economy minister, Luis Caputo, and his foreign minister, Pablo Quirno. DayOne Data’s founder, William Huang, and its CEO, Jamie Khoo, headed up the company’s team.
