BRAZIL: Lula uses UN speech to reiterate campaign rhetoric
On 22 September Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva gave a speech in New York at the opening session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) general debate, in which he spoke in defence of national sovereignty and criticised foreign interference, among other reiterations of rhetoric from his re-election campaign.
