BRAZIL | Unemployment decreases year-on-year. Brazil’s unemployment rate in the rolling quarter of June-August 2026 stood at 5.3%, equivalent to 5.8m unemployed people, according to the national statistics institute (Ibge). This remains unchanged from the jobless rate registered for May-July, but it marks a decrease compared with 5.6% unemployment in June-August 2025.
