URUGUAY: Courting Puerto Rico to attract attentions of US
Uruguay has signed an economic cooperation agreement with Puerto
Rico.
On the face of it, this does not appear to be especially newsworthy. Puerto
Rico, the smallest of three islands making up the Greater Antilles, has a
population of 3.8m; it is scarcely the vast market opening for which
Uruguay has been looking.
