Ecuador's foreign ministry has confirmed one of the sinkings of fishing vessels by the US navy denounced three weeks ago by Aldhu, a Quito-based human rights NGO [WR-04-24]. It said, however, that the sinking had taken place in international waters. Another five of Aldhu's purported sinkings have been dismissed as untrue.
