MEXICO: Fox seeks rapprochement with López Obrador
President Vicente Fox has set a date for a face-to-face meeting with Mexico City mayor Andrés Manuel López Obrador: 14 September, the 'Day of National Unity'. He will also hold a meeting with state governors. In both cases his aim is to stop existing rifts from growing wider. His agenda has just got tougher following the controversial outcome of the state elections in Veracruz [WR-04-35].
