DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: Haitian illegals repatriated by the hundreds

The government of President Leonel Fernández has stepped up the repatriation of illegal immigrants from Haiti, and is even reported to be refusing to acknowledge work permits issued by the preceding Mejí­a administration. Last week the authorities deported 107 Haitians, raising to 877 the number sent back over the past three months.
