ARGENTINA: Recovery on again
Perhaps the most telling economic statistic to come out of Argentina over the past month appeared on 21 June. Then the economy ministry reported that the federal tax-take had hit a new record: 21% of GDP in May. Indeed, if provincial taxes are also included, the tax-take jumps to 23% of GDP.
