PANAMA: Budget arrives in congress

The government sent its budget to congress in early October. This called for spending of US$6.7bn. OF this US$881m will go on capital projects. This is the highest figure for a decade and represents 5.5% of GDP. The government claims that the investments are being financed from revenue and not by debt.
