Betting on Cuba

The highly publicised economic changes in Cuba are temping some investors to dabble in Cuban debt. Cuban debt has long been among the most speculative. The country defaulted in 1986 and has not made any payments since. Furthermore, the debt is denominated in European currencies which, mostly, have been replaced by the Euro.
