The election for the governorship of the city of Buenos Aires will take place on Sunday. The vote will be dominated by the closely contested battle between the current governor Aní­bal Ibarra and the president of Boca Juniors football club Mauricio Macri. According to the latest polls, Macri will win the first round by somewhere between five and eight percentage points. In the second round, however, Ibarra looks set to come in one to six points ahead of Macri.
