BOLIVIA: Line-up with new faces, but polarised at the top

The presidential contest in Bolivia is no longer dominated by 'old' faces. At least three of the seven candidates so far registered are newcomers to top-league politics. Though the deadline for registrations has been extended until 5 September, no big surprises are expected. One interesting development, however, is the hint of an early trend towards a two-horse race: former president Jorge Quiroga versus Evo Morales, the runner-up in the last presidential elections.
