VENEZUELA: Government dismisses terrorist allegations

The government has dismissed the story in 'US News & World Report' which claimed that it was aiding international terrorists. The story drew heavily on senior US intelligence sources. Despite the reaction from Caracas, the magazine is standing by its story. It claimed that the Chávez government was supporting and training Colombian guerrillas from the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia and was issuing identity cards almost without any checks to people from the Middle East.
