Argentina's piquetero movement took to the streets of Buenos Aires yesterday, 4 November, for a massive protest demanding more employment opportunities, better salaries, and increased assistance for the unemployed. The piqueteros, who have been representing Argentina's poor and marginalized since the economic crisis began, also called on the government to stop criminalising their movement and to cut the nation's links to the IMF.
