COLOMBIA: Police chief quits in scandal

The head of Colombia's national police force, General Teodoro Campo, has been forced to resign over a scandal involving abuse of official funds. The head of the Medellí­n police, General Leonardo Gallego, has also been fired, along with three other generals in the police force. Campo has been replaced by General Jorge Daniel Castro Castro, who currently heads the police force in Bogotá.
