Chile's two big copper producers, the state-owned Corporación del Cobre and BHP-Billiton's La Escondida, announced yesterday that they would cooperate. The president of Codelco, Juan Villarzú, said that the two companies would cooperate in creating a cluster of support and supply operations in the country's Second Region.
