The demobilization of Colombia's largest paramilitary organization, the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia, began yesterday when the 855 members of the Bloque Cacique Nutibara handed in their weapons and entered a government camp. Colombia's peace minister Luis Carlos Restrepo took an active part in the ceremony, which took place in La Ceja just outside Medellí­n.
