MEXICO-US: Facing consequences of ICC ratification

Mexico formally became the 100th full member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) when its deputy UN ambassador deposited the documents ratifying the 1998 treaty. Foreign minister Luis Ernesto Derbez reiterated that Mexico will not sign an agreement shielding US personnel from surrender to the court, even if this means losing US military aid.
