MEXICO: PRI hold Chihuahua, Durango; PRD hold Zacatecas

Development: The second instalment, on 4 July, of this year's 15 state and municipal elections, went as expected with the incumbent parties retaining control. The Partido Revolucionario Institucional held Chihuahua and Durango while the Partido de la Revolución Democrática held Zacatecas. None of the results have been declared officially: the various parties are claiming victory from usually-reliable exit polls.
